What we do

Advocating for the sector

We speak as the trusted voice of the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector.

We help ensure it is heard and gets the resources it needs.

As an ‘honest broker’ for the sector, we are proud to advocate on its behalf.

Community development

We work with local communities to find out what they need and create and develop solutions.

Our understanding of  the challenges and opportunities they face ensure that we are well placed to help develop and work on projects and initiatives that will help them to thrive.

Spark Somerset work hard to strengthen the community infrastructure in Somerset. The ever-growing demand for a more holistic community offer means that strengthening this infrastructure is important - and advocating for this cultural shift to connect people to community rather than clinical services has really taken shape with their hard work.
