What is safeguarding?

Keeping people safe is important, whether they are your beneficiaries, volunteers or employees.

Safeguarding means ensuring that everyone who comes into contact with your organisation feels safe and respected, and that they do not face harm, harassment, bullying, abuse or neglect. It also means being prepared to deal with any issues that may arise in a safe and appropriate way.
