Lunch & Learn: getting started with corporate fundraising

The Reflect Recover Renew research findings showed us that organisations need support to access funding. However, with living costs remaining high, and grant funding under increasing pressure, groups may struggle to remain appropriately – and sustainably – funded.

That’s why we’re hosting a series of free, bite-sized, Lunch & Learns sessions led by specialist trainers, to help you discover funding options you may not have previously considered, including corporate fundraising.

About the session

Partnership with businesses can bring many benefits, including much needed funds, good PR, brand awareness and new expertise. But how does it actually work? What are the advantages and disadvantages, and where do you even begin?

This session, hosted by Amber Consulting, will give you an introduction to corporate fundraising and provide you with the knowledge and confidence to approach businesses. By the end of this short session you will have an understanding of where to meet businesses, the many different tactics you can use to engage them, and why charity partnerships are so important to a successful business culture.

Who is it for?

Aimed at fundraisers in Somerset who would like to increase their understanding of corporate fundraising, and gain the confidence to approach and develop mutually beneficial partnerships with local businesses.

About the trainer

Your trainer for this session will be Julia Worthington, MInstF (Dip), a specialist in corporate fundraising with Amber Consulting. Julia specialises in developing successful corporate partnerships, and has extensive experience of fundraising and coaching others on the topic.

Tickets to this event are freely available to staff and volunteers from voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations in Somerset
