A network of voluntary sector organisations committed to supporting those living with dementia, their carers and families.
By working together, we can make an even bigger impact. So, we facilitate strategic partnership working within the sector, focusing on areas where there are gaps in provision and a need for a more joined-up approach. An example of this is the VCFSE (voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise) Somerset Dementia Partnership, a network of voluntary sector organisations committed to supporting those living with dementia, their carers and families, facilitated by Spark Somerset.
With over 60 voluntary, community faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations represented, the Partnership aims to boost collaboration and develop new ways of working with our statutory sector colleagues.
The Partnership also plays a lead role within the Somerset Dementia Wellbeing Service, helping to steer and shape priority work such as special vaccination clinics, training and peer support for carers and information packs for those with a new diagnosis.
We meet online and in person to discuss a range of topics and provide a space to network and build relationships across the dementia support system.

We always talk about joined up working but there always seem to be barriers to its success, this feels somewhat different, every voice matters, all experiences enrich our knowledge.
