Training Manager

Chard Watch are looking for a motivated and adaptable Training Manager to support and develop their training programme.

Chard Watch are a local charity with big ambitions to end isolation for people experiencing mental health difficulties. They provide workshops and training courses where people are able to come together and make valuable connections, build self-resilience, and develop skills to support their recovery.

Chard Watch understands that connecting people with shared experiences of mental health challenges can empower everyone, which is why peer support is at the heart of everything they do.

The charity are looking for a Training Manager to lead their team of dedicated Training Facilitators and Peer Support Trainers, develop their training, and support their ongoing Open Mental Health projects.

The successful candidate will have experience in adult training, lifelong learning, planning, and evaluating learning programmes, and of developing training packages. They will also have experience in mental health, either in a professional or personal capacity. Knowledge of Carl Roger’s person-centred approach to developing trusting relationships and Shery Mead’s approach to intentional peer support is desirable but not essential.
